The Holy Quran considers the belief in the divinity of Jesus as a deviation in Christianity and refutes it with various arguments. Although official Christianity presents the divinity of Jesus within the framework of the doctrine of the Trinity as its theological basis, the history of Christian theology shows that in early Christianity, there were individuals and groups who opposed the divinity of Jesus. These groups are considered heretical by official Christianity. This paper, using an analytical-descriptive method, comparatively examines the perspective of the Holy Quran on the rejection of Jesus's divinity and the positions of the groups deemed heretical in early Christianity. By focusing on sects such as the Arians, Ebionites, Elcesaites, and Monarchians, it becomes clear that these groups also regarded Jesus merely as a chosen human and a divine prophet, not as God. The result is that the views of these groups show significant alignment with the Quranic teachings on authentic Christianity, and their condemnation as heretics appears unjust; rather, their views seem closer to authentic Christianity.
