نقش هنر و جایگاه هنرمند در شهر خدای آگوستین

چکیده:
آگوستین، نخستین متفکر سنت مسیحی است که توجه ویژه ای به هنر و زیبایی نشان داد و اقدام به تدوین نظامی جامع در این حوزه کرد که بعدها تأثیر شگرفی بر اندیشمندان پس از خود، به ویژه در قرون وسطی گذاشت. اهتمام ویژۀ او به هنر و زیبایی، در کنار وفاداری کامل او به آموزه های مسیحی، که نمود کامل آن در کتاب شهر خدا و دفاع از کیان مسیحیت و تقسیم انسان ها براساس باورهایشان، به حضور در شهر خدا و شهر زمین تبلور یافت، این مسئله را پیش روی محقق قرار می دهد که آگوستین چه جایگاهی برای هنرمند در کتاب شهر خدای خود داشت. بدین منظور، این پژوهش با رویکرد تحلیلی و بررسی اسنادی، ضمن توجه به باور عمیق آگوستین به آموزه های مسیحی، به بررسی اندیشه های او دربارۀ زیبایی پرداخته و تلاش می کند دیدگاه او نسبت به انواع هنرها را تبیین کند و بر اساس تلقی آگوستین از انواع هنرها، جایگاه هنرمند در نظام فکری ارائه شده در کتاب شهر خدا معرفی می گردد.

The Role of Art and the Status of the Artist in Augustine's City of God
Abstract:
Augustine is the first Christian thinker that paid a special attention to art and beauty and developed a comprehensive system in this area, which later had a tremendous effect on the post-scholarly thinkers, especially in the middle Ages. The attitude of Augustine towards art and beauty, along with his complete loyalty to Christian teachings, which has fully crystallized in the God's City by dividing man into the inhabitants of heaven and earth, has created a question that, what is the status of the artist in the City of God. Using an analytical-documentary method and concerning Augustine's deep belief in the Christian doctrines, this paper studies his attitude towards beauty and tries to explain his point of view towards types of arts to know the status of the artist in the intellectual system of the City of God.
