Abstract:
The war in Judaism, like many of teachings of this faith, is founded on two central things: people and land. The aim which ancient Jews sought through the wars they fought was occupying new lands and bringing them under their control. One of the Jewish types of wars which they consider legitmate and obligatory is "Eve Massacre", through which the promised land, as the Jews say, can be regained. They consider that some of the most important earlier Jews' battles, such as that which they fought against seven nations are among the obligatory pioneering battles or perhaps the very "mil•khä•met khō•vä".

Abstract:
مساله جنگ جایگاهی ویِژه در یهودیت دارد. گستره تاریخ کهن یهودی متاثر از نبردهای تهاجمی یا دفاعی یهودیان است. جنگ مانند بسیاری از آموزه های این آیین، بر دو موضوع محوری بنا نهاده شده است: قوم و سرزمین. نبردهای یهودیت باستان در راستای تصرف، تسلط و گسترش اراضی سرزمین تحت حاکمیت یهودی سامان دهی شده اند. یکی از اقسام جنگ مشروع و البته واجب یهودی، «ملحمت حوا» است. ملحمت حوا، نبردی است به منظور تصرف اراضی سرزمین موعود.
برخی از نبردهای سرنوشت ساز یهودیان آغازین چون جنگ با اقوام هفت گانه، در زمره جنگِ آغازگرانهِ واجب یا همان «ملحمت حوا» قرار دارند. مصادیق «ملحمت حوا» که هماره تنخ با افتخار از آنها یاد می کند زمینه ساز چالش های الاهیات مبتنی بر عهد عتیق با اصول انسانی و اخلاقی شده است. چالش هایی که برخی از اندیشمندان یهودی را به تاویل این فرازها و تفسیر جنگ های آغازگرانه به منزله نبردهای دفاعی پیش گیرانه ناچارنموده است.
