Throughout the history, men have tried to attract God's or gods' satisfaction and prevent their wrath and anger by submitting presents and sacrifices to them. The origin of sacrifice in religions is divine decree, but this ritual has been subject to many changes and developments during different periods of history for different reasons. However, despite these changes and developments, the performance of this ritual in different religions has some similarities such as remembering God and having the intention of drawing nigh to Him when doing the sacrifices. There are some differences in some cases such as the status of sacrifice in the religion and its liturgies. In order to better expound the matter, it is advisable to seek the origin of the sacrifice in various periods of the history and its nature and to know how it was performed in previous religions. Was this holy ritual subject to distortion, too? The present paper tries to study the emergence and history of sacrifice, the aims and motives of offering sacrifice, and deviations and distortions appeared in its meaning and performance. آیین قربانی از کهن ترین آیین های بیشتر ادیان است. انسان ها در تمام ادوار کوشیده اند تا با تقدیم هدیه و قربانی به خدا یا خدایان، خشنودی آنها را جلب کرده، از خشم و غضب آنها جلوگیری کنند. منشأ قربانی در ادیان، امر الهی است؛ امّا این آیین در ادوار مختلف تاریخ، به علل گوناگون دستخوش تغییر و تحوّل های زیادی شده است. با این حال، این آیین در ادیان مختلف، دارای شباهت هایی است که از آن جمله، یاد خدا و تقرّب به او در انجام قربانی ها است؛ چنانکه در مواردی نیز با یکدیگر اختلاف دارند؛ مانند جایگاه قربانی در شریعت و آداب آن. برای تبیین بهتر، شایسته است منشأ قربانی را در طول تاریخ ردیابی کنیم و ببینیم در ادیان گذشته، قربانی به چه نحو بوده است؟ آیا دست تحریف، گریبانگیر این آیین مقدّس نیز شده است؟ این نوشتار به دنبال پیدایش و پیشینه‌ی قربانی، اهداف و انگیزه های تقدیم قربانی و انحرافات پدید آمده در آن است. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/6.pdf
