What is the church's approach to promoting social justice, and how effective can this approach be? The purpose of this paper is to find the positive and negative dimensions of the Catholic Church's approach to the promotion of social justice through an analytical evaluation. Using descriptive-analytical method, the present paper introduces and evaluates the Catholic approach in this area and proves that the necessity of promoting social justice in Catholic Christianity has been taken into account and the Catholic tradition, especially from the Second Vatican Council, has taken positive steps to help the establishment of social justice. However, the existence of some challenges and the lack of clear instructions in this Christian sect for putting up a practical fight against social oppression have made it difficult to provide a coherent and successful system for achieving social justice. کلیسای کاتولیک با ادعای اصالت، جامعیت و مرجعیت، توانسته است قلمرو اجتماعی وسیعی در جهان امروز برای خود تدارک ببیند. روش این کلیسا برای بسط عدالت اجتماعی چیست و این روش تا چه اندازه می تواند کارآمد تلقی شود؟ هدف این مقاله، یافتن ابعاد مثبت و منفی روش کلیسای کاتولیک در زمینۀ بسط عدالت اجتماعی از راه ارزیابی تحلیلی آن است. مقالۀ پیش رو با معرفی و ارزیابی روش کاتولیک در این زمینه، با شیوه‌ی توصیفی تحلیلی نشان خواهد داد که اگرچه ضرورت بسط عدالت اجتماعی در مسیحیت کاتولیک مورد توجه قرار گرفته و سنت کاتولیک، به ویژه از شورای واتیکانی دوم، گام های مثبتی برای کمک به برقراری عدالت اجتماعی برداشته است، اما وجود برخی چالش ها و فقدان دستوراتی مشخص در این فرقۀ مسیحی برای مبارزۀ عملی با ظلم های اجتماعی، ارائه‌ی نظامی منسجم و موفق برای اجرای عدالت اجتماعی را با مشکل مواجه کرده است. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/4_38.pdf
