abstract = {The present paper seeks to describe a general picture of Jews' life in Muslim territories. Living Among Muslims Jews have always lived in peace, and have flourished in different domains. No doubt, Muslims and Jews have influenced each other. In order to describe the Jews' life and Muslims' influence on them, four periods – The Holy Prophet's period, the 'Abbasid period, the Ottomans period, and contemporary Islamic Iran period – have been taken into consideration and  Jews' general status can be investigated in these periods. Surprisingly, contrary to the interaction between Jews and Christians, the general trend for interaction between Muslims and Jews has been always positive, so that the Jews themselves have acknowledged and emphasized on such an interaction. Finally, the Jews' life in Christian countries is briefly discussed to allow the readers to make a crude comparison between the Muslims and Christians' conduct with Jews and thereby recognize the Muslims' proper conduct with Jews which has its roots in rich Islamic culture},

abstract_fa ={این نوشتار در صدد ترسیم سیمای کلی زندگی یهودیان در سرزمین های اسلامی است. یهودیان همواره در میان مسلمانان زندگی همراه با آسایش داشته و در کنار آنان، در عرصه های گوناگون به شکوفایی رسیده اند و به یقین بر همدیگر تأثیر نیز داشته اند. برای نشان دادن زندگی آنان و تأثیرپذیری از مسلمانان، چهار دوره‌ی عصر پیامبر(ص)، عصر حکومت عباسی، عصر حکومت عثمانی و ایران اسلامی مدّ نظر قرار گرفته و وضع یهودیان به طور کلی بررسی شده است. جالب توجه اینکه روند کلی تعامل مسلمانان با یهودیان، بر خلاف تعامل مسیحیان با یهودیان، همیشه مثبت بوده است؛ به نحوی  که خود یهودیان نیز اذعان دارند و آن را مورد تأکید قرار داده اند. در پایان نیز زندگی یهودیان در سرزمین های مسیحی به اجمال مطرح شده است تا خواننده بتواند مقایسه ای اجمالی میان رفتار مسلمانان و مسیحیان، با یهودیان، انجام دهد و از این رهگذر، رفتار مناسب مسلمانان را که برگرفته از فرهنگ غنی اسلام است، تشخیص دهد.},
