This research examines how apocalyptic beliefs and group discipline work in tandem to construct a distinct religious identity for the members of this movement. The present study, employing a qualitative and analytical method, examines the organizational texts of Jehovah's Witnesses and sociological sources on religion in order to elucidate the manner in which identity boundaries are formed and in-group cohesion is maintained. The findings indicate that belief in the imminence of the end of the world generates a sense of urgency and deep commitment that leads to the acceptance of internal discipline. This collective discipline, through the observance of behavioral rules, peer monitoring, and regular participation in proselytizing activities, draws a pronounced social boundary between members and the surrounding society. Ultimately, the combination of these apocalyptic beliefs with organizational discipline plays a key role in maintaining the stability and reproduction of the distinct identity of Jehovah's Witnesses in the social context of Latin America. جنبش «شاهدان یهوه» یکی از جریان‌های مسیحی معاصر است که در دهه‌های اخیر رشد قابل توجهی در آمریکای لاتین داشته است. این پژوهش بررسی می‌کند که چگونه باورهای آخرالزمانی و انضباط گروهی دست به دست هم می‌دهند تا هویت دینیِ متمایزی برای اعضای این جنبش بسازند. مطالعة حاضر با روش کیفی و تحلیلی، متون سازمانی شاهدان یهوه و منابع جامعه‌شناسی دین را بررسی کرده است تا نحوة شکل‌گیری مرزهای هویتی و حفظ انسجام درون‌گروهی را روشن کند. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهند که باور به نزدیک بودن پایان جهان، نوعی احساس فوریت و تعهد عمیق ایجاد می‌کند که باعث پذیرش انضباط درونی می‌شود. این انضباط جمعی از طریق رعایت قواعد رفتاری، نظارت هم‌قطاران و حضور منظم در فعالیت‌های تبلیغی، مرز اجتماعی پررنگی میان اعضا و جامعة پیرامون می‌کشد. در نهایت، ترکیب این باورهای آخرالزمانی با انضباط سازمانی، نقشی کلیدی در حفظ پایداری و بازتولید هویت متمایز شاهدان یهوه در بافت اجتماعی آمریکای لاتین ایفا می‌کند. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5003738-1791608531.pdf
