abstract = {Exaggerated and negligent ideas about the status of women in Hinduism have had a profound impact on the cultural and social structure of Hindu societies. These attitudes, rooted in Hindu sacred texts as well as the caste system, have played a pivotal role in determining women's rights and responsibilities. On one hand, exaggerated views have led to the imposition of severe restrictions and the reduction of women's participation in social spheres, while on the other hand, negligent views have resulted in the undermining of their position in society. This research, employing a descriptive-analytical approach and using documentary methods, examines the factors influencing the formation and reinforcement of these perspectives. The necessity of this research lies in investigating and elucidating religious doctrines to remove misconceptions and clarify the status of women in Hinduism, as well as contributing to a better understanding of Hindus' beliefs about women and their impact on women's social lives. The findings indicate that the combination of religious teachings, the social caste system, and traditional interpretations are the most significant factors in consolidating these views, and their potential reformation requires a re-reading of religious texts and extensive socio-cultural changes.

abstract_fa ={اندیشه‌های افراطی و تفریطی دربارة جایگاه زن در آیین هندو تأثیر عمیقی بر ساختار فرهنگی و اجتماعی جوامع هندو داشته است. این نگرش‌ها، که در متون مقدس هندو و همچنین در نظام طبقاتی کاست ریشه دارند، در تعیین حقوق و مسئولیت‌های زنان نقشی محوری ایفا کرده‌اند. ازیک‌سو نگرش‌های افراطی، به اِعمال محدودیت‌های سخت‌گیرانه و کاهش مشارکت زنان در حوزه‌های اجتماعی منجر شده‌اند و ازسوی‌دیگر، نگرش‌های تفریطی، به تضعیف جایگاه آنان در جامعه انجامیده‌اند. این پژوهش با رویکرد توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با استفاده از روش اسنادی، به بررسی عوامل مؤثر در شکل‌گیری و تقویت این دیدگاه‌ها می‌پردازد. ضرورت انجام این پژوهش، بررسی و تبیین آموزه‌های دینی برای رفع سوءبرداشت‌ها و تبیین جایگاه زن در آیین هندو، همچنین کمک به درک بهتر باورهای هندوان دربارة زنان و تأثیر آن بر زندگی اجتماعی آنهاست. یافته‌های این پژوهش نشان می‌دهند که ترکیب آموزه‌های دینی، نظام اجتماعی کاست و تفسیرهای سنتی، مهم‌ترین عوامل در تثبیت این دیدگاه‌هایند و امکان اصلاح آنها مستلزم بازخوانی متون دینی و تغییرات فرهنگی ـ اجتماعی گسترده است.
