abstract = {On God's command and under Musa's guidance, Israelites left Egypt and camped under near the borders of the Promised Land (Jerusalem). Knowing the strength of inhabitants in Jerusalem, they violated God's command to enter this land and fight with its settlers.  As a punishment for this disobedience, God deprived them of entering into their most favored and desired land for forty years, during which Israelites, in failed attempts to enter the Jerusalem, wandered in the surrounding deserts ( the Oasis of Et – Tih) and involved in fights with tribes and settlers neighboring with Palestine. They witnessed many events during this period. 
  The present paper investigates the commentators' different viewpoints on the way in which Divine Sanction materialized, and then analyzes its cause, and finally discusses the events occurred in the Valley of Et – Tih, with the emphasis on the common features of  the story of the Old Testament, the story of the Glorious Quran, and commentators' views and opinions.

abstract_fa ={بني‌اسرائيل با فرمان خداوند و با راهنمايي حضرت موسي از مصر خارج شده و در نزديكي مرزهاي سرزمين موعود (بيت‌المقدس) اردو مي‌زنند. آنان با آگاهي از نيرومندي ساكنان بيت‌المقدس، فرمان صريح خداوند براي ورود به آن سرزمين و نبرد با ساكنان آنجا را زير پا مي‌گذارند. خداوند به كيفر اين مخالفت، آنها را به مدت چهل سال از ورود به سرزمينِ آمال و آرزوهايشان محروم مي‌سازد. بني‌اسرائيل اين مدت را در تلاشي ناموفق براي ورود به بيت‌المقدس در بيابان‌هاي اطراف (وادي تيه)، سرگردان و با اقوام و ساكنانِ مناطق هم‌جوارِ فلسطين درگير مي‌شوند. در اين مدت، حوادث زيادي براي آنان رخ مي‌دهد. در اين نوشتار، ديدگاه‌هاي مختلف مفسران درباره چگونگي عينيت يافتنِ تحريم الاهي و تحليلِ چرايي آن و نيز حوادثِ پيش‌آمد در وادي تيه، با تأكيد بر مشتركات موجود ميان گزارش عهد عتيق، قرآن كريم و آراء و نظرات مفسران بررسي شده است.},
