abstract = {Muslim thinkers from the early Islamic centuries have been confronted with doubts and objections to the religion by the people of the book, which led to the compilation of various books by the scholars. From the early 19th century, due to colonialism and missionary activities, the textual disputes have steadily increased among Muslim scholars. The cognitive dimensions of these works and the formulation of epistemic propositions have given a special place to these works in the religious studies. Considering the significance of these works, this paper studies one of the major treatises in this field, called "lubb al-khitab", which deals with the issues of the book, by Mohammad Bagher Birjandi. Using a descriptive-analytical method, his paper seeks to study the arguments of the author of lubb al-khitab in disambiguation from religious beliefs. Findings show that, using the historical references, rational arguments and the Bible, the author of the mentioned work has revealed the contradictions and defended the religion.

abstract_fa ={اندیشه ورزان مسلمان از سده های نخستین اسلامی با شبهات و ایرادات وارده بر دین از سوی اهل کتاب مواجهه بوده اند و در روند این رویارویی و در پاسخ به شبهات، آثار قلمی از سوی علما تدوین شد. از اوایل سده‌ی نوزده میلادی به سبب اوج گیری تکاپوهای استعمارگران و افزایش فعالیت هیئت های تبشیری، مجادلات قلمی علمای مسلمان روند فزاینده ای پیدا کرد. ابعاد شناختی این آثار و نحوه‌ی صورت بندی گزاره های معرفتی، جایگاه ویژه ای به این آثار در مطالعات دینی بخشیده است. با توجه به اهمیت این آثار، مقاله‌ی پیش رو به بررسی یکی از رساله های شاخص در این زمینه به نام لب الخطاب فی رد شبهات اهل کتاب، اثر محمدباقر بیرجندی اختصاص دارد. این نوشتار با رویکردی توصیفی ـ تحلیلی درصدد بررسی روش و آشنایی با براهین نویسنده‌ی لب الخطاب در شبهه زدایی از دین است. یافته های پژوهش نشان می دهد که نویسنده‌ی اثر یادشده با بهره گیری از استنادات تاریخی، ارائه‌ی براهین عقلانی و استفاده از گزاره های کتب عهدین، تناقضات آن را آشکار کرده و به شبهه زدایی از دین پرداخته است.},
