In modernism, the reality source was established in the self-contained wisdom of human-being by separation from metaphysical world; in a similar vein, the basis of the Christian postmodern thought and theology was established on negating any reality in the world and separation of socio-political life from the realm of theology and metaphysical world. The concept of “political theology” proposed by Schmitt, indicated the reconsideration of the role of religion in socio-political arena by western thinkers. Offering a new reading of the concept of reality, Erik Voegelin has investigated this realm. Voegelin can be considered as believing in a connection among theology, mysticism and politics. He established the concept of reality as the basis of his own philosophy. The question of this study concerns the new reading that Voegelin offers about the relationship between theology and political act? It seems that by criticizing modern and postmodern narratives, Voegelin establishes the basis of the political order on connection with reality based on revelation and reconnecting with metaphysical and mystical world. قرن اخیر، زمانه‌ی استیلای تفکر پست مدرن در ساحت فلسفه و الهیات غرب است. همان گونه که در مدرنیته، مرجع حقیقت با انفصال از عالم متافیزیک در عقل خودبنیاد انسان قرار داده شد، بنیاد اندیشه و الهیات پست مدرن مسیحی، بر نفی وجود هرگونه حقیقتی در جهان و انفصال زندگی سیاسی ـ اجتماعی، از عرصه الهیات و عالم متافیزیکی صورت گرفت. طرح مفهوم «الهیات سیاسی» که با اشمیت آغاز شد، نشانی از توجه مجدد متألهان غرب، به نقش دین در عرصه سیاسی ـ اجتماعی است. اریک وگلین نیز با خوانش جدید از مفهوم «حقیقت»، به اندیشه ورزی در این زمینه پرداخته است. وگلین را می توان از قائلان به پیوند میان الهیات، عرفان و سیاست دانست. او مفهوم حقیقت را بنیاد فلسفه خویش قرار دارد. مسئله این نوشتار، این است که وگلین، چه فهم تازه ای از نسبت میان الهیات و امر سیاسی ارائه می دهد؟ به نظر می رسد، وگلین با نقد روایت مدرن و پست مدرن ، بنیاد نظم سیاسی را در پیوند با حقیقتِ متکی بر وحی و اتصال متجدد به عالم متافیزیکی و عرفانی قرار می دهد. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/7_18.pdf
