The features of the soul at peace (mutma'inah) referred to in the Qur'an indicate the possibility of attaining salvation before death. The concept of "the free living" (Jivanmukti) in Upanishads refers to a wise who experience salvation - i.e. emancipation from the suffering of the universe - in one's lifetime. The authentic source of either of the two traditions indicates that the delivered have similar experiences and conditions and a knowledge-based role in the attainment of salvation. Making a comparison between the characteristics and conditions of "the free living" and those of the "peaceful soul", this paper seeks to expound the issue of the delivered. The findings of this research show that happiness and awareness of "the free living" are absolute and they are not regard as a reality which is distinct from his/her soul whereas the happiness and awareness of peaceful soul constitute a distinct reality and they, like his/her experiences and conditions, are an outcome of the manifestation of the Divine attributes of Glory and Beauty in man's soul. آموزه های نجات شناسانه در متون مقدس اسلام و هندو، بیانگر ویژگی ها و احوال وارستگان است. توصیف احوال نفس مطمئنه در قرآن، دلالت بر امکان نجات پیش از مرگ دارد. مفهوم «اوپه نیشدی» زنده آزاد (جیون موکتی) نیز بر فرزانه ای اطلاق می شود که نجات ـ رهایی از رنج هستی ـ را درحال زنده بودن تجربه می کند. منابع معتبر هر دو سنت، حکایت از برخورداری وارستگان از تجارب و احوال مشابه و نقش محوری معرفت در نیل به رهایی دارند. این مقاله، با هدف شناسایی موضوع معرفت نجات یافتگان، به مقایسه‌ی ویژگی ها و احوال «زنده آزاد» و «نفس مطمئنه» می پردازد. بنابراین، پژوهش، سرور و آگاهی زنده آزاد، سرور و آگاهی محض بوده، واقعیتی متمایز از نفس او محسوب نمی شود. اما معرفت و بهجت نفس مطمئنه، واقعیتی متمایز و چون دیگر تجارب و احوال او، محصول تجلی صفات جمالیه و جلالیه حق در آینه نفس است. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/8_8.pdf
