abstract = {The doctrine of Maya which is introduced by Hinduism to show how man was created is one of the most important parts of Hindu theology. This doctrine indicates that the process of creation is, in fact, a kind of Brahman’s manifestation, and the world represents Brahman’s shade and his dream. The theory of Maya, which is one of the results of the pantheistic perspective, is mainly discussed in the book Upanishads and was developed by the mystics of Vedanta school, especially Shankara, one of the prominent thinkers of this school. This study aims to show that the theory of Maya does exist, though not in a detailed form, in the series of “Vedas", the oldest scriptures of Hinduism and the world. For this purpose, the paper makes a philosophical and semantic investigation of the theory of Maya in order to prove it in the light of the hymns of the Vedas, including the hymes of "creation" and "Prosha".

abstract_fa ={آموزه‌ی مایا که برای بیان چگونگی خلقت در آیین هندو مطرح می گردد، یکی از مهم ترین بخش های الهیات هندو می باشد. این آموزه، بیانگر این است که فرایند خلقت در واقع نوعی تجلی برهمن است و جهان به عنوان سایه‌ی برهمن و رؤیای او صادر شده است. نظریه‌ی مایا، که زاییده‌ی یک نگاه وحدت وجودی است، بیشتر در کتاب اوپانیشادها مطرح گردیده و از سوی عارفان مکتب ودانتایی، بخصوص متفکر برجسته‌ی این مکتب یعنی شانکارا واکاویی، بسط و گسترش یافته است. این پژوهش، بر آن است تا نشان دهد اصل نظریه مایا، هرچند نه به شکلی مفصل، در مجموعه‌ی «وداها»، که قدیمی ترین متون مذهبی جهان و آیین هندو به شمار می روند، وجود داشته است. بدین منظور، به کاوش های لغت شناسی و معناشناسی در باب نظریه‌ی مایا پرداخته و با نظر به سرودهای وداها، از جمله دو سرود «آفرینش» و «پروشا»، تلاش در اثبات این مطلب صورت گرفته است.},
