Therefore, all religions and denominations have paid a special attention to this topic, especially by defining religious rituals for their followers. The question of this article is to examine the similarities and differences between Catholic and Shiite religious practices in terms of their moral education. In order to answer this question, using descriptive-analytical method and using Catholic and Shia religious sources as well as the works of some researchers, I have investigated and analyzed the Catholic and Shiite religious rites in terms of moral education and their similarities and differences. Therefore, I have studied the four rites of "Baptism", "Confession", "Marriage" and "Holy Communion" from the Catholic religion and the four rites of "Martyrdom", "Repentance", "Marriage" and "Prayer" from the Shia religion. I found many educational similarities between these rituals, but there are also many differences as well. Shia religious rites have a significant superiority in terms of moral education, and having all the positive aspects of Catholic moral education, it lacks their weak points. «تربیت اخلاقی» از مباحث بسیار مهم در رسیدن انسان به کمال واقعی و سعادت نهایی است. ازاین‌رو همه ادیان و مذاهب به آن توجه خاص داشته‌اند، به‌ویژه با آیین‌های دینی که برای پیروان خود لحاظ نموده‌اند. مسئله مقاله حاضر بررسی شباهت‌ها و تفاوت‌های موجود در آیین‌های دینی کاتولیک و شیعه از حیث تربیت اخلاقی است. برای پاسخ به این مسئله، با استفاده از روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی ضمن بهره‌گیری از منابع دینی کاتولیک و شیعه و همچنین آثار برخی از پژوهشگران، آیین‌های دینی کاتولیک و شیعه از حیث تربیت اخلاقی بررسی شده و شباهت‌ها و تفاوت‌های میان آن‌ دو تحلیل گردیده است. بدین‌روی چهار آیین «تعمید»، «اعتراف»، «ازدواج» و «عشای ‌ربانی» از مذهب کاتولیک و در مقابل، چهار آیین «شهادتین»، «توبه»، «ازدواج» و «نماز» از مذهب شیعه بررسی شده است. شباهت‌های تربیتی زیادی میان این آیین‌ها مشاهده شد، ولی تفاوت‌های بسیاری هم میانشان وجود دارد. در این میان از نظر تربیت اخلاقی آیین‌های دینی شیعه برتری قابل‌توجهی دارد و ضمن برخورداری از تمام وجوه مثبت تربیت اخلاقی در آیین‌های مذهب کاتولیک، فاقد نقاط ضعف آنهاست. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2021073-1709016862.pdf
