One of the key elements to distinguish these places is the "dome". In addition to having a unique architectural structure, the dome is considered a valuable and universal symbol in different historical periods and lands. The main question of this research is to study the symbolic shape of the dome and explain the supreme wisdom used in the shape of the dome in the religions of Hindu, Iranian-Islamic and Byzantine Christianity. The main goal of this research is to investigate how the symbolic elements and hidden concepts are realized in the dome structure in the religions of Hindu, Iranian-Islamic and Byzantine Christianity. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and is performed using library tools based on traditional opinions. The results show that all religions follow a sacred geometry in the formation of temples based on circle and square; and the dome is considered as an element that connects the soul to God and represents unity. در بیشتر ادیان، مکان مقدس جایی است که از تمام اطرافش متمایز و شاخص باشد. یکی از عناصر شاخص برای متمایز ساختن این اماکن «گنبد» است. گنبد علاوه بر اینکه دارای سازه‌ای معمارانه و منحصر به ‌فرد است، نمادی ارزشمند و جهانشمول در ادوار تاریخی و سرزمین‌های گوناگون به شمار می‌آید. مسئله اصلی پژوهش بررسی نمادین گنبد و تبیین حکمت متعالی به کار رفته در شکل گنبد در ادیان منتخب هندو، ایرانی ـ اسلامی و بیزانس مسیحیت است. هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر بررسی چگونگی تحقق عناصر نمادین و مفاهیم پنهان در ساختار گنبد ادیان منتخب هندو، ایرانی ـ اسلامی و بیزانس مسیحیت است. روش تحقیق توصیفی ـ تحلیلی بوده که با بهره‌گیری از ابزار کتابخانه‌ای با تکیه بر آراء سنت‌گرایانه انجام شده است. نتایج بیانگر پیروی تمام ادیان از یک هندسۀ مقدس در شکل‌گیری معابد مبتنی بر دایره و مربع بوده که تلقی از گنبد عنصر اتصال‌دهندۀ روح به ذات یگانه و نمایانگر وحدت است. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2020862-1709016961.pdf
