Generally speaking, religious interpreters and thinkers' research are formed in an intra-religion context. Therefore, Islamic interpretations do not much expound the roots and symbolic meanings of the Quranic verses. Few discussions about the symbolic meaning in the Quran can provide the theme of a comparative review. The present paper briefly studies the symbolic meaning of the number seven which is mostly interpreted as "multiplicity" and "perfection". While western interpreters and scholars of religion have fully discussed about the roots and reasons for mentioning "number seven" in Apocalypse, the most important approach used by scholars of religion and Christians is that using number seven in Apocalypse is symbolic in order to show multiplicity or perfection. This paper seeks to investigate the existence of the principle of symbolism in the Quran and Bible and provide a comparative review of the symbolic meaning of number seven in the Quran and the Apocalypse. در میان مفسران و متفکران مسلمان رویکرد پدیدار شناختی و نیز لیبرال به متن مقدس و دین، هرگز حضور نداشته است. به طور کلی، تحقیقات مفسران و اندیشمندان دینی در بستری درون دینی شکل گرفته است. ازاین رو، تفاسیر اسلامی کمتر به ریشه ها و معنای نمادین آیات قرآن پرداخته اند. مباحث اندک پیرامون معنای نمادین در قرآن می تواند دستمایه یک بررسی تطبیقی شود. در این مختصر، به بررسی معنای نمادین عدد هفت می پردازیم که بیشتر به معنای «کثرت» و «کمال» تفسیر شده بود.     درحالی که مفسران و دین پژوهان غربی از ریشه ها و علل ذکر «هفت» در مکاشفه مباحث مبسوطی ارائه کرده اند. مهم ترین رویکرد در میان مسیحیان و دین پژوهان، نمادین بودن عدد هفت در مکاشفه است که بیان آن یا به دلیل افاده کثرت است و یا از باب افاده تکامل.     این نوشتار درصدد بررسی وجود اصل نمادگرایی در قرآن و کتاب مقدس و بررسی تطبیقی معنای نمادین عدد هفت در قرآن و مکاشفه یوحنا برآمده است. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_9.pdf
