Since different religious societies and groups existed during the revelation of Quran and studying these groups and societies has some problems and complexities, the comparative study of related Quranic terms will be of great help to solve these problems. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the present paper tries to organize the discussions on the basis of a logical and fundamental conceptology. The research findings show that "monotheist" and "monotheists" mentioned in Quranic verses do not refer to a particular group or faith; rather, it is an adjective for religion and faith generally. However, "Sabians" are particular religious groups that are included among the people of book, so they are different from "monotheists". مقصود اصلی این پژوهش، مفهوم شناسی تطبیقی «حنفاء» و «صابئین» و بررسی اینکه آیا این دو اصطلاح در قرآن کریم، مفهوم واحدی دارند یا خیر؟ از آنجایی که جوامع و گروه های دینی مختلفی در عصر نزول قرآن می زیسته اند و بررسی برخی از آنان با مشکلات و پیچیدگی هایی روبه روست، بررسی تطبیقی اصطلاحات استعمال شده در قرآن در این حوزه، می تواند کمک شایانی به رفع این معضلات نماید. روش ما در این پژوهش، روشی توصیفی ـ تحلیلی است و تلاش شده است تا مباحث بر مبنای یک معنا شناسی منطقی و اصولی سامان داده شود. حاصل پژوهش نشان می دهد که «حنیف» و «حنفاء» در عرف آیات قرآن، اشاره به گروه خاص و آیین خاص ندارد، بلکه معمولاً وصف دین و آیین قرار می گیرد، اما «صابئین» یک گروه دینی خاصی است که در زمره‌ی اهل کتاب قرار دارند. بنابراین، از «حنفاء» متمایز هستند. https://marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateadyan.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2_3.pdf
